Community
Programs

The Denver Tennis Park's (DTP) community programs offer an exceptional introduction to tennis for youth across the Denver-metro area. With a focus on accessibility, these programs are held not only at the DTP but also on community courts and within Denver Public Schools (DPS) schools.

Colorado SERVES

Success, Education, Respect, Values, Excellence & Self Confidence

The Colorado SERVES Program is a partnership between the United States Tennis Association of Colorado (USTA Colorado) and Denver Tennis Park designed to bring affordable tennis programming to kids of all abilities and backgrounds. The SERVES program combines strong youth development practices with dedicated tennis training delivered by some of the best instructors in our state. Players will learn and develop basic tennis skills in a fun and supportive environment. Brand new and experienced players are welcome!

Colorado SERVES is offered both at the Denver Tennis Park during the winter months. During the summer months SERVES is out in the community including Southwest Denver, at Lincoln High School, and in Northeast Denver, at Northfield High School.

Support SERVES

Our community work is made possible by donations and grants from various organizations and individual donors. You can support Colorado SERVES and other DTP community programming with a charitable gift.

Advantage Kids, our program within Denver Public Schools (DPS) schools, is designed to introduce and sustain tennis programming in under-invested DPS elementary, middle, and high schools where there is little to no tennis in the schools.

Through Advantage Kids, the DTP is engaging Denver Public Schools students by introducing and then establishing a locally implemented tennis club program. Because the DTP is committed to offering more significant tennis programming in under invested communities, identifying an existing infrastructure by which consistent and evolving tennis programming can be offered is essential.

The DTP continues to provide introductory tennis programming in DPS schools each year, to build momentum and seek to identify champions in these schools, provide them with equipment (often supplied by USTA Colorado), train and support the champions, and begin building tennis clubs throughout SW Denver, Montbello, and possibly other neighborhood schools.

The long-term goal isn’t only to build a deep youth development structure through tennis in under invested communities, but to establish a culture of tennis and a pipeline of tennis players from elementary to high school within those communities .

If you are a faculty member or parent of a DPS school and have interest in the DTP bringing Advantage Kids to your school, please contact Magda Apodaca, Program Coordinator, at mapodaca@denvertennispark.org.
