DTP is a welcoming community for all people, tennis levels, and experiences in our facility and neighborhoods, where diversity of cultures is recognized and valued. Find answers to our most frequently asked questions here.
-
Do I have to be a member to play at the Denver Tennis Park?No membership is required to play at the DTP! We are open to the public - just pay for your court time. You can create a free account at dtp.clubautomation.com where you can reserve courts and register for programs. All players, whether local or visiting from out of town, are required to have valid profiles and completed waivers before playing at the DTP.
-
What amenities does your facility offer? Our facility features 7 indoor and 6 outdoor NCAA approved lighted tennis courts. While we do not have locker rooms, both men and women’s bathrooms do have a shower (bring your own towels!). We offer a small selection of grips, emotisorbs, tennis balls, Wilson and Luxilon string, and DTP apparel.
-
Are there pickleball courts available? We do not offer pickleball.
-
I don’t have a tennis racket/my child doesn’t have a tennis racket. Do you have any rackets to borrow? We have both youth and adult rackets for players to borrow!
-
What is your cancellation policy? For court reservations and lessons, we have a 24hr cancellation policy. Reservations cancelled within 24hrs are subject to a cancelation charge (price of court/lesson). For youth programs, registration changes must be made 7 days prior to session start date for an account credit. Changes made within 7 days are not guaranteed. There are no refunds.
-
Can I bring outside food and beverages?Water and sports drinks are allowed to be taken on court. We ask spectators to not take food into the indoor corridor. Food and beverages can be consumed in the lobby and outdoor areas. We do not have a cooler for guest use. Due to our location on DPS property, no alcohol is permitted on our premises.
-
How old do players have to be to participate in your youth programs?Players between the ages of 7-18 can join our programs. We occasionally offer programs for players between 4-6 years old, particularly in the summer time.
-
Do you offer private/semi-private lessons for youth?Yes! Youth players can take lessons once every other week – roughly twice a month. We want to break the stigma that players can only get better with private lessons. We encourage players to learn and play tennis in other ways in addition to individual lessons for a well-rounded tennis experience, such as in group classes, on school teams, or with family and friends. To schedule a lesson, call 303-351-5045 or stop by the front desk. Please have at least three (3) days/times ready that work with your family schedule. We will check our instructor availability and see where we can schedule a lesson!
-
Can I rent tennis courts/the facility for corporate or group events?Absolutely! For group court rentals looking to book less than 4 courts, please call the front desk at 303-351-5045. Please know: to reserve more than one court, we require one payor – no splitting of court fees. We still ask for all players to have valid profiles and completed waivers prior to playing. For larger group events and corporate events, please contact Gabe Vicuna at gvicuna@denvertennispark.org for more details.
-
Do you have USTA league teams play out of the DTP?We are not a USTA league facility and do not offer any league teams. We have served as a host facility for Tencap Tennis. If you are interested in playing Tencap out of the DTP, please contact Gabe Vicuna at gvicuna@denvertennispark.org.
