Scholarships

The DTP is committed to advancing youth development through equitable access to high quality tennis programming.

Many who are introduced to the sport find that it brings them joy when it comes to both their physical and mental wellness. For some, the ability to afford and/or feel welcome in the sport becomes a barrier to consistent participation. The DTP is committed to creating as many opportunities as possible to remove affordability and cultural barriers to the sport.

Our primary goal is to offer the opportunity for youth and families to engage in the lessons, tools, and relationships made possible through tennis in a consistent manner that is beneficial to their development.

We are proud to have a scholarship program for youth who have not ever learned or played tennis, as well as for those who have and are looking to strengthen their commitment and progress in the game.

For more information on youth scholarships, contact Magda Apodaca, Scholarship Coordinator.

2024 Scholarship Forms are CLOSED for Fall Session II!

Intro Scholarships

The DTP intro scholarship is designed to provide a basic introduction to tennis or youth who may not be able to afford tennis lessons. The scholarship includes an introductory tennis lesson, equipment (racquet and/or tennis shoes), and participation in a Fall, Spring, or Summer session (8-10 weeks long) of classes once per week.

Commitment Scholarships

The DTP Commitment Scholarship is designed to assist youth who are interested in, enthusiastic about, and ready to improve their tennis game and the personal growth that comes with it. Commitment scholarships include participation in one (1) DTP youth program per session throughout an entire academic period.

Advanced Scholarships

We also offer scholarships for advanced players who are looking to cultivate parts of their game and are looking to access higher levels of competition. These are invitation-only scholarships.
