A Match Made for Success: Support the Denver Tennis Park on Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day

Updated: Oct 4

At the Denver Tennis Park (DTP), we are passionate about breaking down barriers and making tennis accessible to all youth. We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the joy and positive impact of this sport, regardless of cultural background or financial situation.

We are thrilled to announce that the DTP will be participating in the inaugural Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day on September 4th, 2024! This statewide campaign, spearheaded by the Aspen Institute Project Play, Daniels Fund, and Colorado Gives Foundation, is a unique opportunity for youth sports organizations like ours to raise essential funds that will help ensure more children have the opportunity to access youth sports.

Why We're Participating

Unfortunately, youth sports participation is declining, especially among low-income families and communities of color. By participating in Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day, we hope to rally our Denver community and raise $50,000 in essential funds to continue our mission of providing equitable access to tennis for young people in Denver neighborhoods.

How Your Donations Make a Difference

Your generous donations will directly support our Denver Tennis Park Outreach efforts, including:

Youth Scholarships: We currently support 65 youth players with scholarships, covering everything from DTP youth programming to equipment and tournament support for advanced players. Your contributions will enable us to award even more scholarships, ensuring more Denver youth can reach their full potential through tennis.

Colorado SERVES: This partnership with the USTA Colorado brings affordable tennis programming to kids of all abilities and backgrounds. The SERVES program blends strong youth development practices with dedicated tennis training. Your support will help us continue to offer this program free of charge, providing valuable experiences for young people in our community.

Advantage Kids: Our program within Denver Public Schools is designed to introduce and sustain tennis programming in under-invested communities. By establishing after-school clubs and expanding our reach into more schools, we aim to build a culture of tennis and develop a pipeline of future champions.

Double Your Impact

Donating is easy and secure through the trusted Colorado Gives platform used for Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day. You can donate using a major credit card, bank account, PayPal, and many more forms of payment. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors like the Daniels Fund, Weld Trust, and others, all donations made during the campaign (September 4th - 30th) will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $800,000!

Join the Movement

All children deserve to enjoy the lifelong benefits of being physically active and participating in sports. Tennis offers a unique combination of physical activity, social connection, mental focus, and skill development. With your support through Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day, the Denver Tennis Park can provide more opportunities for young people in Denver to experience the joy and positive impact of tennis for years to come.
