Magda Apodaca

Advantage Kids & Scholarship Program Coordinator

My Story

Magda has spent her career working in healthcare alongside underserved and vulnerable communities, where equity and access are essential to achieving lasting health and well-being. These values strongly inform her work in tennis, where she is deeply committed to creating opportunities for families and communities who have historically had limited access to the sport.

Magda found her way into the tennis world a few years ago when her children fell in love with the game, and it quickly became a passion of her own. She is especially drawn to working with kids and families who are new to tennis and may not always feel a sense of belonging. Tennis can sometimes feel intimidating or exclusive, but Magda believes it has the power to become a space of inclusion and growth.

She is inspired by the resilience and confidence that emerge when individuals are met with encouragement, invitation, and genuine support. Magda believes that when everyone has a place on the court, the sport is stronger, the community is healthier, and young people are empowered to thrive.
