My Story
A Denver native and proud Denver Public Schools graduate, Polica Houston is a seasoned nonprofit and education executive with over two decades of experience leading community-centered initiatives. As Chief Executive Officer of Denver Tennis Park, he advances a vision that uses tennis to foster opportunity, character, and lifelong engagement for youth and adults throughout Denver.
Polica brings deep expertise in building and scaling high-impact programs, cultivating strategic partnerships, and leading teams through periods of growth and transformation. Prior to joining the Denver Tennis Park, he served as Vice President of Programs at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, where he increased youth served, launched new program models, secured new revenue streams, and expanded school- and site-based partnerships throughout the metro area. His leadership consistently blends mission clarity with operational excellence, ensuring programs are both impactful and sustainable.
His career includes senior leadership roles across education and youth-serving organizations, as well as service as an Assistant Principal at Denver-area high schools, where he led instructional systems, athletics, and student success initiatives. Polica brings a proven ability to build inclusive cultures, develop talent, and implement systems that drive outcomes at scale.
Polica holds a master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Denver, a Principal License from the Colorado Department of Education, and multiple coaching and athletic leadership certifications. He remains deeply engaged in civic leadership, serving on boards, including Prosperity Denver Fund and Regis Jesuit High School.
Polica is married to his wife, Biaze, and they have two daughters, Avani and Sade.
