Maureen "Mo" Slattery
Advanced & Intermediate Programs and Tournament Support Manager
My Story
Maureen grew up playing competitive junior and high school tennis in Virginia before committing to play collegiate tennis at the University of Denver. She graduated from DU in 2017 as one of the program’s first All-Americans, a milestone that reflects her dedication and competitive drive. Following graduation, Maureen began her coaching career in her hometown as the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Christopher Newport University, where she helped develop student-athletes on and off the court.
In 2021, Maureen returned to her alma mater as Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at DU. During her tenure, she played a key role in the team’s success, including a 12–4 season in 2023, and was recognized as the ITA Mountain Region Assistant Coach of the Year. She also coached multiple singles players to NCAA Singles Championship appearances at both DU and CNU.
Maureen’s connection to Denver Tennis Park began in 2019, when she worked part-time in DTP’s first-ever youth programs. After deciding to step away from college coaching, she was eager to return to DTP and continue serving the community. She thrives in an environment where kids learn, grow, and have fun, and she believes in developing children through the HEART values at DTP proudly – Humility, Effort, Attitude, Respect and Team Work.
